FHR Scout Luxury hotel benefits directory

About FHR Scout

Why it exists

FHR Scout is a free, open-source project created and maintained by Terry Tan. It makes public information about American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts, The Hotel Collection, HAFH, and Hilton Resort Credit properties easier to search and compare. The directory brings hotel details, cached public daily room rates, program benefits, price movements, and destination summaries into one lightweight website. It is designed for travelers who want a clearer starting point before opening the official booking channel.

Independent and transparent

FHR Scout is an independent informational tool. It is not American Express, Hilton, a travel agency, or a hotel seller, and it does not accept reservations or determine card eligibility. The project uses unauthenticated public sources and records when cached information was refreshed. Room-only prices stay separate from tax-and-fee-inclusive totals; when a total is estimated from recorded Amex price details, the interface labels it as an estimate instead of presenting it as a quote.

Open source and corrections

The implementation is published in the FHR Scout GitHub repository under the MIT License so its behavior and limitations can be inspected. Corrections, reproducible bug reports, and source-quality concerns are welcome through the contact page. Before booking, travelers must verify live availability, final taxes and fees, property benefits, cancellation terms, and card eligibility on the official booking channel linked from each hotel.
